We are excited to announce that VILNA will have a five-week Off-Broadway production at The Theatre at St. Clement’s, at 423 West 46th Street, in the theater district. It will run from March 12th through April 14th 2019, and will be seen by over six thousand (6,000) people.
If you belong to an organization that would like to attend a special performance of VILNA followed by a presentation/talk-back please contact Hal Berkowitz at email@example.com or 917-509-7351.
We are also working with student organizations to make one thousand (1,000) free tickets available to students through donation subsidies. Please contact Ira Fuchs at firstname.lastname@example.org or 646-621-3222 for additional information about this audience outreach initiative.
Because the world is three generations removed from the Holocaust there are few survivors left to bear witness. As a result our collective remembrance rituals are becoming historically remote and less personally tangible. In lieu of first person testimony to bear witness, theater is the most effective proxy for conveying the emotional and intellectual incomprehensibility of the Holocaust. It is the most powerful way to portray and reinforce its monumental truth, and make it abhorrently tangible again.
